Now that the inaugural Mile High festival is in the books, attention in the region turns to the other regional AEG Live festival, Monlith Music Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside Denver September 13-14. Now in its second year, Monolith is positioned as a pure indie/alternative festival sited in the spectacular Red Rocks setting.
Having previously announced a partial lineup with Denver's own Devotchka and French electro-band Justice as headliners, the festival added a new round of artists and announced two special events for VIP ticketholders. The special events are a Friday night kickoff concert at The Bluebird Theater in Denver featuring performers Cloud Cult, The Dutchess & The Duke and Young Coyotes, and an "official afterparty" at the Red Rocks Underground Saturday night.
In addition to the bands mentioned above Passion Pit and White Williams will appear at the VIP-only events. Other acts added to the main festival lineup include Snowden, Dressy Bessy, KaiserCartel, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, The Veils and lots more.
