Cheap Trick has been announced as the first headlining attraction at the 2010 South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Veteran Rockford, Ill. pop-rock quartet will play a March 19 gig at Auditorium Shores on Ladybird Lake. Milwaukee's BoDeans will open the show, which is free and open to the public.

After teasing fans by releasing a handful of names early, SXSW Music and Media Conference announced a huge list of 230 official showcase artists for the important music industry event. SXSW Music 2010 runs March 17-21 in the Austin TX convention center and in area clubs and venues throughout the city.
