
The second part of Ultra Music Festival's lineup has been released. This roundup of artists is even more mouth-watering than than the first, having added many of the current electronic music scene's most prominent figures, as well as many from the indie and alternative rock community. Now over a decade old, Ultra Fest doesn't mess around. Only the cream of the crop get to play this event.
The Prodigy has just been scheduled to headline the second night. Also, live sets from Australia's Pendulum and Israel's Infected Mushroom have been added. These two innovative and diverse artists are not to be missed. Electronic superstars Moby, Paul Van Dyk, and Armin Van Buuren are now featured in the lineup, as well as singer/entrepreneur Perry Farrell. Additional Phase II artists are David Guetta, Above and Beyond, Erick Morillo, Booka Shade, the Swedish House Mafia featuring (Steve Angello, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso), Benny Benassi, Rabbit In The Moon, Fedde Le Grand, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Tiga, ATB, M.A.N.D.Y. v. Tiefschwarz, Kraak & Smaak, Dirty South, Pete Tong, Loco Dice, Steve Lawler, Boys Noize, Markus Schulz, Kaskade, Late of the Pier, Planet of the Drums, Andy C + MC GQ and The Whip. Read more »

On March 27th and 28th, Miami will host the 11th installment of the Ultra Music Festival. Held once again in Bicentennial Park the festival is featured as part of the final two days of Miami's 5-day Winter Music Conference, which includes events extending far beyond entertainment. In past years, Ultra has been based almost entirely around electronic music such as trance, techno, house, and D&B. This year, however, the festival seems to be branching out into the new wave and alternative rock genres. Read more »
Three electronic music stalwarts have surely been doing a little celebrating lately after winning audience awards for their consistent dedication to both the scene and the music. Bill Kelly, founder of the Winter Music Conference and Miami's Ultra Music Festival both took home special trophies at the recent DJ Awards held in Ibiza, Spain while the South By Southwest Conference, dubbed the "biggest industry party in the world" was awarded the title of Best Party of the Year by the Austin Chronicle.
